Fazıl Say, Mesopotamia Symphony - Philharmonia Istanbul

Composing is always a type of improvisation through ideas, fragments of music and imaginary patterns. This is the notion has been directing the artistic course of Fazıl Say and making it possible for him to transfer distinctive sounds to his audience in perfect harmony for over twenty-five years.

Say is also noted for his role as a composer, with works that include oratorios, piano concertos, orchestrations of various forms, chamber music, and compositions of piano and the voice. In addition to modern European instruments, Say also makes frequent and articulate use of Anatolian instruments, such as the kudüm and darbuka drums and the ney reed flute, in his compositions. With performances spanning across the globe and all the continents, Fazıl Say is renown the world over. And he meets music lovers at Zorlu again, this time with the Mesopotamia Smpyhony accompanied by orchestra.
