Applause Sounds of Scots from Sultan Adile Palace

Every year, the Scottish visit a different city with their dancing theme organisations, and they were in Istanbul on the 26th of February.

The performance took place at Adile Sultan Palace, under the name of “European Music At Ottoman Court”.

Istanbul Chamber Orchestra conducted by Emre Araci, accompanied our world known violinist Cihat Askin on this fabulous night and glamoured the audience with the repertuar.

The concert began with Jean-Baptiste Lully’s “Marche pour la ceremonie des Turcs” and continued with Ottoman music such as Callisto Guatelli Pasha’s “Adile Sultan”, Burhaneddin Efendi’s “Grand March”.
